An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

The arrests come after a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, two women were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt in the event. Five people went to hospital for treatment and have since been released.

Officers arrested a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault near the scene. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Police were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.

The assault - an event that police said was isolated and not being treated as an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility briefly.
